History
Thirty three years ago (1970) the concern of creating a school rises in the inspirations of Mr. José Santos and Mr. Napoleón Sire, who voluntarily attended the boys and girls in a ranch built with bamboo and coconut leaves; and chairs built with round pieces of wood and thick planks where at least attended around thirty students.
This dream came true in 1972, when the Ministry of Education sends two teachers and Mr. Manuel Gallardo generously donated the land for the school to be built. The enrollment was increasing and in 1974 there were six teachers, three of them working in the morning shift and three of them in the afternoon shift. The government offered the materials to build five classrooms. The community and teachers developed different activities to collect money such as selling of tamales, food and raffles, etc. The collected money was used to pay the workforce and with all these efforts the first pavilion of the school was built.
In 1977 the first sixth grade graduation was done, a motive of pride for the community and the enrollment keeps increasing. In 1994 starts the construction of a new building and new teachers are sent to the school and in 1995 a third pavilion of classrooms is needed.
All the projects and modern advances in our school have been carried out by the teachers and parents with tenacity and responsibility because we know that everything that is done with love and effort is productive.
Nowadays the school counts with 36 teachers and two administrators. The school receives and teaches children from kindergarten to sixth grade.
